We are delighted that our project Boomerang Enterprises which deconstructs mattresses has been short-listed under the ‘Get Involved’ competition. Get Involved is a way for local communities all over Ireland to work together to improve their own lives, create local jobs, and protect the environment. ‘Get Involved’ is a sustainable communities initiative developed by 51 local newspapers throughout Ireland.
Boomerang partnered with the Evening Echo under the initiative, we appreciate the support and assistance from Maurice Gubbins, Lisa Coughlan and Audrey Ellard Walsh who have promoted many great articles on the project as part of the competition through their publication.
As part of the adjudication process Boomerang, located at Ballyvolane Business Park, hosted a site visit by judges Duncan Stewart, Anja Murray, Ruth Buggie (SEAI) Lisa Moran (Clann Credo) and members of the coordinating team Johnny O’Hanlon and Enda Buckley on Wednesday 13th January 2016.
