Department of the Environment, Heritage and Local Government

Department of Communications, Energy and Natural Resources

This department has responsibility for the Telecommunications, Broadcasting and Energy sectors. It regulates, protects and develops the Natural Resources of Ireland.

Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)

Sustainable Energy Ireland (SEI)

The SEI, formerly the Irish Energy Centre, was set up by the government in 2002 as Ireland’s national energy agency. Our mission is to promote and assist the development of sustainable energy.

Teagasc – the Agriculture and Food Development Authority – is the national body providing integrated research, advisory and training services to the agriculture and food industry and rural communities.
