Get Involved – 3rd Prize to Boomerang

We survived the “Dragon’s Den” element of the Get Involved Competition and are delighted to have received 3rd prize for our Boomerang Enterprises project in the Awards. With 30 projects entering the competition this is a very good result for our first time engaging with what is a great initiative by Local Ireland with support from SEAI, Clann Credo and the EcoEye team of Duncan Stewart and Anja Murray.
The Award is not just about the wonderful final competition event which took place last Thursday in Dublin and which showcased so many inspiring projects and people from all corners of the country but the whole journey of getting here.

We are tremendously grateful for the amazing support and generous coverage provided by our media partner the Evening Echo throughout the process. We accept the Award on behalf of everyone who has contributed to its achievements and success to date, the people who have worked on the project including the Manger, Paul Kelly, our funders and our very dedicated Management Committee. This Award affirms and recognises the importance of the project in delivering social, economic and environmental benefits to the community and energises us to continue to build on this success.
Keep an eye out for more photos and reports in the Evening Echo.
